All About Me!
I have been a part of the Traylor community since 1997 when I chose to enroll my own children in the Kindergarten program. Prior to enrolling at Traylor, I had visited several schools. As soon as I walked through the front doors of Traylor Academy, I immediately knew that this was the school for my children. After volunteering as a parent and working with the students, I knew I wanted to do that full time, so I applied for a para position and was hired to work in the computer lab to assist teachers. I absolutely loved working with the students so much, I decided to go to college at age 40 and become a teacher. After finishing college I knew I didn’t want to work anywhere else but Traylor. I applied for several openings and was blessed to get the Kindergarten position. I have been at Traylor for 20 years and this is my 15th year teaching in Kindergarten.
I am married and have two children and two grandchildren. We enjoy traveling, especially to the ocean, and spending time with family and friends. My passion is that all children succeed both academically and socially. I want their first or second experience in school to be positive and fun so they will love school and want to become a life long learner. It is my passion to model and teach all children to be respectful and caring towards one another so that we can build a strong community of learners in our classroom. We have a strong Kindergarten team who collaborate every day about the needs and successes of each student. Thank you for choosing Traylor Academy for your child and I am excited to get to know each and every family, so together we can be partners in supporting your child’s education and success in school. Sincerely, Rhonda Balding |
